LOVE IN TRIANGLES
“Lived in squares, painted in circles, loved in triangles.”
- Dorothy Parker on the Bloomsbury Group.
An ode to the timeless appeal of The Bloomsbury Group - and more specifically to two of its key members, artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. In the early 20th century, the pair lived deep in the English countryside at the infamous Charleston Farmhouse - a home that remains to this day a living, breathing, immersive work of art. Every inch of it is painted in their famous block-print patterns and naïve animal illustrations. The work is my response to a sunny spring tour there earlier this year.
